The root system of Onion is fibrous, underdeveloped; because it is located shallow, thin roots penetrate to a depth of 60 cm. The bulb is flattened-spherical or oblong. Depending on the species, onion shells are yellow-brown, reddish, purple or white in color. The stem is thick, hollow, slightly inflated below the middle. The leaves are juicy, straight, pointed. Onion flowers are inconspicuous, develop on long (up to 20-30 cm) pedicels, have bracts, are collected in a multi-flowered spherical dense umbrella inflorescence. The onion fruit is a spherical capsule. The plant blooms in June-August, forms fruits in August - early September.

Directions
Shake well before use. Take 20-30 drops, three times a day or as directed by your practitioner. The best way to use liquid herbal tinctures is to put the suggested amount in a glass of water, tea, or juice and drink the entire contents. Tinctures can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some tinctures are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.
