Echium seed oil has a unique Omega-3-6-9 makeup that makes it superior to other commonly available plant oils such as flaxseed. Echium seed oil is rich in a special form of omega-3 called SDA (Steardonic Acid) that is much more easily converted to EPA and DHA - the active long-chain omega-3s in fish oil that offer brain, heart and eye health benefits. In comparison with flaxseed oil, echiomega echium seed oil generates 60 percent more omega-3 EPA in the body. Echium seed oil is also rich in fats typically sourced from other healthy oils. Echium contains the 'good' omega-6 GLA, for which evening primrose oil is sought after, as well as the omega-9 oleic acid - the principal fat in olive oil that is consumed in large amounts in the Mediterranean diet. Offering an optimal balance of omega-3-6-9, echiomega is an excellent plant source of health-enhancing good fats. Echium seed Oil is the ideal nutritional supplement for those who are vegetarian, vegan or allergic to fish, to help boost the levels of the important omega fats in the diet. Each box contains 60 capsules, providing a month supply at a daily dosage of 2 capsules. The dosage can be increased for more intensive support.
