The husks are mucous when combined with water and can be used not only to improve the wellbeing of your gastrointestinal tract but also as a food thickener. In fact, you can find mentions of organic psyllium husks in many ingredient lists if you pay closer attention.Organic Psyllium Husk Flakes are made by milling Plantago Ovata seeds. Usually, they are referred to as husks or hulls. They are a better alternative to whole seeds because the germ of psyllium seeds contains some oils that aren’t very good for you. Organic Whole Psyllium Husk has some texture as opposed to psyllium powder, which makes it more pleasant for many people to consume. If you prefer a finer texture, you can grind the husks yourself to the desired level. How to Take Organic Whole Psyllium Husk to Boost Your Digestive Health Organic psyllium husks combined with water create gelatinous mucus. For the lack of a better term, it scrubs your intestines while going through the digestive tract. Your intestines get a workout while the mucus absorbs toxins. This happens due to the high fiber content in Organic Psyllium Husk Flakes and is completely safe. Therefore, you can take psyllium every day, provided that you abide by the safe dosage.A spoonful of Organic Psyllium Husks in a glass of water or juice in the morning is the optimal daily amount. Psyllium husk doesn’t have much flavor but some people find it unpleasant. That’s why mixing it with juice might be preferable. Please remember that psyllium is highly absorbent. This means that you will need to increase your liquid intake during the day to ensure it goes through your digestive tract smoothly and unobtrusively. The recommended amount of Organic Whole Psyllium Husk per day is 5-7 g, with a meal, once per day._Nutrition Facts 1 servings per container Serving size1 oz (28 g) Amount Per Serving Calories106 % Daily Value* Total Fat 0g 0% Saturated Fat 0g 0% Trans Fat 0g Cholesterol 0mg 0% Sodium 25mg 1% Total carbohydrate 24g 9% Dietary fiber 24g 85% Total sugars 0g Includes 0g Added Sugars 0% Protein 0.4g 1% Vitamin D 0mcg 0% Сalcium 93mg 7% Iron 1mg 3% Potassium 0mg 0% * The % Daily Value (DV) tells you how much a nutrient in a serving of food contributes to a daily diet. 2,000 calories a day is used for general nutrition advice.
